As part of our continued commitment to the safety and security of our congregation, we invite all members, staff, and lay leaders to participate in a three-part Security Training Series led by experts in situational awareness and emergency response.
Training Dates:
• Session 1: Sunday, November 23, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Session 2: Sunday, January 11, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
• Session 3: Sunday, February 8, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Location: Social Hall A
What You’ll Learn:
• Session 1 – Prevention & Awareness:
How to recognize potential threats, increase personal and communal vigilance, and respond appropriately. Real-world case studies will help us learn from actual incidents. • Session 2 – Response During an Attack:
What to do when the worst happens — when bad actors are already inside. We’ll focus on decision-making under pressure, communication, and survival strategies. • Session 3 – Space-Specific Preparedness:
A guided walk-through of our facility, exploring what to do depending on your location — whether in the sanctuary, board room, or social hall — so everyone understands where to go and how to respond.
This series is designed to empower our community with knowledge, confidence, and readiness while maintaining the welcoming spirit that defines Congregation Agudas Achim.
