Jewish Children’s Regional Service
At the JCRS, we recognize the value of Jewish sleep-away camp as a unique opportunity for fun, personal growth, and Jewish identity-building. The JCRS would like all interested children to have this opportunity, but we recognize that for many families the high cost of overnight camp is prohibitive.
- Children must reside in the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee or Texas.

Greene Family Camp
Each year, we create a summer program that immerses our campers and staff in camp magic. Amidst all the fun they have at camp, campers at GFC learn independence, make new friends and deepen existing friendships, gain confidence in themselves, and so much more! From the ropes course and zip line, to the lake, to our two pools, to endless sports and arts activities, tending the garden, singing around the campfire, bonding with bunkmates, to spending Shabbat as a community, GFC memories last a lifetime.

Tikvah Scholars Program
The Tikvah Scholars Program at Yale University is an 11-day residential summer institute for current 10th and 11th graders. We seek students who want to think deeply about serious questions, push their intellectual limits, and read the great works of the Jewish canon and of Western thought with world-class faculty in a vibrant and pluralistic community of students from around the world. The program seeks to advance Jewish excellence in the modern age by exposing some of the best Jewish students to the most important foundational questions in politics, economics, Zionist thought, and Judaism, guided by some of the top teachers, scholars, and policy makers.
Tikvah also has programs, classes, and experiential learning opportunities from middle school through college.

Abarbanel Summer Seminar
Spend three weeks this summer studying in Leiden, site of the Netherlands’ oldest university and Rembrandt’s hometown. This college-level course will explore the complex interplay of politics, religion, art, science, and economics that gave birth to the modern world. You’ll study key historical and philosophical texts in small seminars of no more than ten students complemented by visits to museums and cultural venues throughout the region, from Amsterdam to Antwerp.
Students will have opportunities to socialize with Dutch Jews their own age, building bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between different Jewish communities.
The Abarbanel Summer Seminar is designed with observant Jewish teens in mind. Kosher food will be provided for all meals and Shabbat will be spent with the Jewish communities of Leiden and Amsterdam.
