The Congregation Agudas Achim History Committee collects, organizes, preserves, and presents the synagogue’s history to the congregation and other interested parties. Projects that members enjoy pursuing include:
* Using tools such as Microsoft Access, Dropbox, and Adobe Lightroom Classic to organize CAA’s historic archive
* Preserving historic media by scanning these items and preserving them in acid-free archival storage containers
* Creating media that captures CAA’s evolving history such as assembling a movie that showed how CAA responded to the Covid-19 epidemic
* Creating exhibitions in CAA that inform viewers about CAA’s rich history
* Organizing CAA-wide presentations that showcase a particular aspect of CAA’s history such as information about CAA’s first Rabbi
The CAA History Committee is always looking for congregants interested in having fun and participating in these types of projects.
Meetings are held once a month over Zoom from August thru May.
