Zoë Miller

We are excited to introduce Zoë Miller as Congregation Agudas Achim’s new Director of Youth Education.

Zoë is an experienced teacher, leader, and administrator with deep connections in the Austin Jewish community. She has served as Director of the Early Childhood Program’s (ECP) Village location and also as ECP’s Director of Curriculum. For the past five years, Zoë has been Early Childhood Education Director at cdc@cbi at Congregation Beth Israel. She has two master’s degrees related to education.

She received enthusiastic support from dozens of members of the Agudas Achim community who met her during the search process. As she told our search committee:

I find a great deal of inspiration in education, specifically in the roots of Jewish education. I thrive as an appreciative leader, educator, and facilitator of learning and deeply value student and families’ identities and interests. Bringing groups of learners, young and old, together in collaboration is my life’s work.

Zoë has completed the JCC Association of North America’s Sheva Covenant Director Fellowship and served as Vice President of Education of the Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism.

She will be overseeing CAARS and our youth groups. She will work closely with our clergy to foster our community’s commitment to learning and to engage families in multiple aspects of synagogue life. We also look forward to welcoming Zoë’s husband, Jonas Criscoe, and son, Ezra, to our community.
