As a teenager, Phoebe was very involved in Kadima and USY, and served as president of her high school’s Jewish Student Union all four years! She is thrilled to be stepping into this role as USY/Kadima advisor and is so excited for all the fun programs ahead! She looks forward to meeting everyone and being a part of the CAA family. She can be reached at AAUSY@caa-austin.org
What is Kadima? Kadima means Forward in Hebrew and is the youth group specifically for grade 6 – 8. It is a great chance for young students to develop close Jewish friends as they embark on their Jewish young adulthood. Events are monthly, often right after CAARS.
What is AAUSY? Agudas Achim United Synagogue Youth is our local chapter of USY, part of the Southwest Region of USY (SWUSY), which is part of an international youth group for Jewish high schoolers! Open to students in grades 9th to 12th, it is a fabulous opportunity for teens to make new friends, get together monthly, develop leadership skills and be Jewish together! All programs are planned by teens for teens under the guidance of our Youth Commission. If you have any questions or would like to get more involved, please email the Youth Commission at CAAyouthcommission@gmail.com.
Past events for our youth groups include: Dave & Busters, Blazer Tag, Main Event, JumpStreet, Trapeze School, overnights, mini-golf, holiday celebrations and many more! If you have suggestions for future events, please share them with us.

Please note: We want as many of our youth to be able to participate as possible. Scholarships are always available; no child will be turned away due to financial circumstances. For more information, please contact the Youth Commission.
