Ayekah Chanting and Meditation Experience (Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and Yom Kippur):

Led by Rabbi Gail Swedroe and David Goldblatt.  Join us as we breathe deeply into this new year, chanting in a call-and-response fashion selections from throughout the service. Additionally, we will experience the themes of Malkuyot, Zichronot, and Shofarot more deeply on Rosh Hashanah and Yizkor on Yom Kippur with guided meditation. Many of these chants will be familiar to those who have participated in the Hineni services in previous years, along with some new melodies that we are excited to share. Ayekah Text Study: Our reflecting and contemplative practice will continue into the Ayekah Text Study session as we use our sacred texts of Torah and Haftarah as the basis of conversation for how we want to enter the new year together.

Young Family Celebration (Rosh Hashanah Day 1)

Join Rabbi Swedroe and Ms. Carol Rubin for 30-45 minutes of song, prayer, and reflection as we joyously welcome in the new year! If you have attended an in-person Tot Shabbat, Young Family Sponsored Friday Night Service, or Shir La Shabbat Friday night service, many of the melodies will be familiar as we weave together daily and weekly prayer into our specific prayers for Rosh Hashanah.  Geared towards families with children in 2nd grade or younger.

3rd – 5th Rosh Hashanah Celebration | 10:30 AM

6th – 8th Rosh Hashanah Celebration | 11:30 AM

On Rosh Hashanah, it’s traditional to eat certain foods to symbolize our wishes and hopes for the year ahead, and to help remind us of the meaning of the holiday. We are going to explore those food items today, to learn about ways to think about the new year. Join Adra Lustig for a joyous celebration of seeing, smelling, and tasting the sweetness and symbols of the new year!

Teen Text Study 1:00 PM

Dive deep into Rosh Hashanah: learn about its personalities, prayers, significance and laws. Join Adra Lustig in a conversation; share your insights, perspectives, and intentions.

Young Family Tashlich and Shofar Experience (Rosh Hashanah Day 2)

Join Rabbi Swedroe and Ms. Carol Rubin as we reflect as a family on ways each person has missed the mark in 5780, can do better in 5781. What actions that you have control over do you want to throw away and leave behind in 5780? (Check out the Passport to Tishrei Kit in advance for ways to deepen this experience!). Geared towards families with children in 2nd grade or younger.

Young Family Yom Kippur and Yizkor Experience

Join Rabbi Swedroe and Ms. Carol Rubin to reflect as a family on ways each person has missed the mark in 5780, can do better in 5781. What actions that you have control over do you want to throw away and leave behind in 5780? In the framework of Yom Kippur, we’ll be focusing on the themes of Al Chet, Healing, and Remembering (Yizkor). Geared towards families with children in 2nd grade or younger.
