Joining our staff August 1, 2019
I am honored to be a part of the CAA community and to work in partnership to shape the Jewish experiences and identities of our youngest members.
I grew up in the Chicago area (Go Cubs!) and spent every summer at Jewish summer camp. This formative camp experience set me on the path towards a passion-filled career in Jewish Education. I pursued an undergraduate degree in Jewish Studies and Theatre at Brandeis University and received a master’s degree in Jewish Education from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
I have spent most of the last decade in Los Angeles immersed in the project of inspiring Jewish youth to “do Jewish”. I served as Associate Director of the Religious School at Temple Aliyah in Woodland Hills, CA creating a new and innovative religious school experience for our students, their families, our teachers, and the entire congregation.
In my work, relationships are my mission – building strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and all members of the community. As Rabbi Chanina said, “I have learned much from my teachers and even more from my friends, but from my students I have learned more than from all of them.”
My family and I could not be more excited to make Austin and CAA our new home.
