TICKET INFORMATION
Do I need tickets for the Sanctuary?
What about the Social Hall?
Admission to all services is by ticket only. While we welcome the entire Jewish community, space is limited in our sanctuary, so priority seating is given to members of the congregation who have made an ongoing commitment to CAA. On Rosh Hashanah Day 1, Kol Nidrei and Yom Kippur morning, limited sanctuary tickets are available for $118. The Hineni Community services are open to all, and tickets are available for $54. You must have your ticket with you at ALL times. Please contact the High Holy Day Coordinator at 512-735-8410 by Wednesday, September 5 if you have not received your tickets.
Tickets are required for all services. There is no charge for tickets for Tot Services, Erev Rosh Hashanah, Rosh Hashanah Day 2 and Yom Kippur afternoon. Please contact the office to receive complimentary tickets. The CAA Office will not be handling High Holy Day requests after Wednesday, September 5 at 3 pm. CAA Member tickets can be used for all services.
Which community is the Hineni Community Service meant for?
This service is focused on those who are looking for deep reflection with both moments of singing and moments of quiet reflection.
Does CAA offer youth services?
We are pleased to offer separate youth services geared towards children K-3rd and 3rd-6th grade led by master educators to provide meaningful and engaging prayer opportunities for everyone. CAA also offers Tot services and services for Post B’nai Mitzvah teens.
Do all of my family members need tickets?
No. Only adult members and children 13 to 26 need tickets. If you have an individual membership, you will only receive a ticket for yourself. Children 12 and under do not require tickets. If you have additional questions, please contact the High Holy Day Coordinator at 512-735-8410 by Wednesday, September 5.
Can I purchase additional tickets?
Yes. You may purchase additional High Holy Day sanctuary tickets for relatives or guests by contacting the CAA office by 3 pm on Wednesday, September 5. The charge for these tickets is:

Does CAA provide High Holy Day ticket reciprocity for out of town guests who are members of other congregations?
Yes. Out of town guests of CAA members, who are members in good standing of other congregations, may request tickets for CAA 5779 High Holy Day services (only if their congregational membership includes tickets for 5779 High Holy Day services at their home synagogue). Guests of CAA members who would like tickets for services should request them from the CAA office no later than Friday, August 31 in order for the tickets to be mailed. After that date, requested tickets will be held at our Will Call table in the synagogue. The guest’s synagogue must verify membership before we provide admission tickets. Please contact the High Holy Day Coordinator at 512-735-8410 or hhdtickets@caa-austin.org.
CHILD CARE
Does CAA provide child care during the High Holy Days?
This year CAA is offering babysitting for children ages 1 to 10. Young children must be walking to be eligible for babysitting. Babysitting will be offered on Rosh Hashanah first day, Rosh Hashanah second day, Kol Nidrei, and Yom Kippur. The cost is $18.00 per day for one child / $36 per day for two or more children. Please sign up online at theaustinsynagogue.org/babysitting.
BREAK THE FAST
Is there a Break the Fast and how do I register?
Yes, CAA hosts a community-wide Break the Fast co-sponsored by our Sisterhood following the Neilah Service (approximately 8:20 p.m.) on Yom Kippur. To register please visit http://www.theaustinsynagogue.org and look for the quick link for 5779 Break the Fast.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Reserved Seating
Seating in the sanctuary and social halls is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please respect the reserved seating signs. You may purchase reserved sanctuary seats in advance by contacting the CAA office by 3 pm on Wednesday, September 5 for both holidays. Reserved seating is also available by request for those with special needs. If you have a reserved seat, we request you arrive promptly by 10 a.m., otherwise your seats may be released to accommodate those who are standing. No refunds will be issued.
Holding Seats
Holding multiple open seats is not permitted. We recognize that there may be a time delay while one congregant is parking the car and our ushers will take this into consideration. If you wish to sit together, we suggest that you meet in the foyer and enter the sanctuary at the same time or in close proximity to each other. The earlier you arrive at services, the better your chances of finding seats together.
Handicapped Parking
Handicapped parking is for handicapped drivers only. All cars must display a state-issued handicapped permit. It is our pleasure to accommodate all needs. Parking spaces in our main lot are limited. If you are parked in a designated handicap spot without proper credentials, your vehicle will be subject to towing.
Are there any security procedures?
Yes. CAA makes every possible and reasonable attempt to allow our members and guests to worship in safety and in comfort. Toward that end, we need everyone’s cooperation with our campus security.
Please have your High Holy Day tickets available as you pull into the campus parking lot – you will be asked to display them. Also, please do NOT bring large bags or large purses, backpacks or strollers. If you bring these items, they are subject to inspection. Access to the sanctuary and the social hall will be limited to the main entrances. Please have your ticket with you at ALL times.
In advance, we thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Book of Remembrance
A long-established and beautiful tradition of CAA is the Book of Remembrance, containing the names of those who have died and who we wish to remember. The book is an expression of our love for those who have passed away but are not forgotten. To add a loved one or for more information, contact Jane Weiss at 512-735-8404.
